The unified EPG now supports “favorites”. You can only sort, add, and remove those.

Some of it, yes. The unified guide was only launched a few days ago.
Basically, you move the mouse over the station logo at the left side. There is a grey “heart” shape. Click on it to mark this channel as a favorite.
As soon as you do this, you’ll get a Favorites tab.
On there, you again move the mouse pointer over the channel logos to either remove it or to sort the list.
