Okay in the past couple weeks you guys have outdone yourselves. The support has been phenomenal and now we finally have a guide that makes sense with favorite channels! Combining all TV sources into one guide and separating Spanish channels. You guys truly outdid yourselves. Hats off to the Plex development team! Thank you! I know the Plex community really appreciates it!
New guide showing favorite channels, sorting by category, sorting by server, and menu options.
Jason (OP) didn’t specify his Plex client or device he was on but because I was intrigued I first checked out LiveTV on my Roku but didn’t particularly find these features accessible from there.
I then proceeded to the web interface on my local Plex Server and found the settings located there. I can’t assume nor do I know where else these settings are located on other clients but this is one way. I don’t understand why, but these settings don’t appear on the Plex.tv web GUI at all.
Yeah… this is the inconsistencies I don’t like when Plex team launches stuff. It’s frustrating to see others have a gander first while everyone else has to sit and wait lol
I’m on Android client and Windows server. When you go under the live TV section on Android you’ll see three lines on the top right corner. click on those and you can control the sources and manage favorite channels.
Yes that’s what I’m on currently. It does crash sometimes but that’s because it’s beta. I’d imagine the Roku preview app would have it as well depending on what client you’re on. Usually the rollout takes a little bit of time between clients.
I’m strictly a Roku household but when I checked for any tweaking available on the Roku interface, there doesn’t seem to be any indication of making adjustments, I have a three dot menu in the upper right hand corner while in Plex LiveTV, which does nothing when I click on it. I imagine that might be a place holder for where those same settings will go. I have no idea. I also tried using the star button on the Roku remote but nothing.
