How are you trying to access your server? Are you using a Plex client app or the browser version. If you’re accessing your server through the browser… are you using http://app.plex.tv/desktop or the local IP address of the QNAP to access it (http://[QNAP IP address]:32400/web)?

So you can access it, you can navigate through your library but you cannot play anything from the browser. Do you get the same when using another Plex app (e.g. Plex on Android/iOS/Roku/…)?

Using the iPhone app the music will not play but I do not see any errors.

You’re going to need to read up about your NAS device. I have no idea what you have or how you have it setup. Perhaps revisit the plex install guide for your device, that may help. There should be a section in your NAS console for user accounts and then a file manager for permissions.
