Server Version#:Plex media Server 1.32.5
Player Version#: ANY
I have installed Plex Media server on my QNAP and it has been working faultlessly. However recently I appear to be locked out. I cannot work out what the problem is.
If I log on to my Plex account on any device I cannot see any of the media I am hosting on the QNAP.
If I try to access the server on the QNAP I cannot connect to it.
I don’t know where to look. As far as I am concerned there is no proxy or firewall running. I am on the same network and can browse to the media files on the QNAP. It is just that there is something wrong with the server and I can’t access it to fix it.
I have the SAME problem. The screen shot you show is the same one I am getting on my laptop when I launch PLEX from the QNAP user interface. The server is fine. I can see it on my Firestick TV and my tablets. All the content is there. All my collections are good. I want to get back in it with the laptop to update some collections and tags.
Were you able to figure it out?
I have the exact problem and have to keep restarting plex on my brand new QNAP. I never had an issue on my 10 year old Netgear. On QNAP it has been a nightmare. How do we get any support?
QNAP was nice and all about responding but they keep claiming PLEX is not their thing. So far my problem was fixed with a correct web URL to Chrome. Still looking into it.
So, I think MY problem is fixed. Just to recap, I edit/configure my PLEX media server (hosted on a QNAP NAS) from a windows laptop via Chrome. Lately, I haven’t been able to see any of my content on the laptop. The server is fine because my Firestick and tablets see it and work just fine.
It turns out the bookmarked URL on my laptop got messed up. The one I use (that works now) is: https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/
It’s also important that the laptop and QNAP are on the same network.
Hope this helps
