Cannot find server - Need to use insecure as always

Player Version#: Plex for Kodi 0.1.3

I am using plex for kodi ( Kodi 17.6 and 16.1 ) in two different devices, Shield TV and Firestick. My server runs in QNAP NAS and Shield TV. Plex for Kodi addon cannot see my server on QNAP NAS. Issue started recently. It can see the server on Shield and it works fine. But if the change the ‘allow insecure connection as always’ in add on it works fine. The add on can now see QNAP server also. Anyone knows the reason?. Is it OK to keep setting as ‘always for insecure connection’.?. I mainly use the plex in the home network only.
