Cannot find server

Yep, yet another one of these threads. None of the other solutions I’ve found are working.

Happens on a Roku several times a week, and on an iPad once in a while. Fire up Plex app on the Roku, it knows who we are (Plex Pass, we use different users) but “cannot find server.” Sometimes clicking on the server button at the top of the screen works immediately. Other times we have to power off/on the Roke, and then it works.

The few times its happened on the iPad, usually have to terminate the Plex app with prejudice and then restart it, once we had to power down the iPad completely.

All IP addresses are static, Roku and Plex server are wired connection on the same switch, iPad is of course wireless.

Would really like to get this one fixed…

Anyone???

When the issue appears in the apps, in what state is the Plex server then? If you browse to Plex Web both on your network (phone or other computer) and locally on the server - what happens then? Does it respond correctly or does that too timeout?

Catching logs might be good too, zip them all up and attach after its frozen (and note the time it happened) - https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/201643703-Reporting-issues-with-Plex-Media-Server

Happened again with two web clients and the Roku. Also happened on the Plex server itself!!! 127.0.0.1:32400/etc etc etc and it can’t even find itself. Wow.

I turned on logging, where do I find the logs?
