Was having issues so upgraded my Apple TV3 to the latest OS (7.3) and tried to set up Plex connect. Normally, when you press the OK button on the “Send Data to Apple” menu, it comes up with a profile menu, however, it’s not doing it. So I can change the DCHP settings easily but cannot create the trailers.cert entry.
Anyone have any ideas on how I can do this ?
I have tried restoring the ATV but without success

Resolved this by connecting ATV3 to USB and using restoring it via iTunes from DFU mode.
Please note: all instructions say you only need the usb cable to do this but I needed power as well ! (so I had power, usb plugged in. Then I switched it on and pressed down arrow and menu together (on the ATV remote control for 6 seconds) then it was available in iTunes in DFU mode. I then restored it and all was well)

The procedure to load the certificate requires the use of the play button (not the Ok/select one). Where did you find instructions to use the ok button so that I can correct them ?

The point I wanted to make was all the instructions I read said that you didn’t need the power cable to get your ATV3 in DFU mode but that was wrong, as I needed power as well to get my ATV3 into dfu mode

Unfortunately the instructions to load certificates using USB were removed from Github. Can you pls point me to the ones you have used ? I can use them as a base to include in Github.

General> click down to Highlight “Send Data to Apple >No” - do NOT hit OK to select, instead hit the PLAY button
