If i remux subtitles with a MP4/M4V file i cannot increase the subtitle size on Plex. I'm using AppleTV3 with almost latest PlexConnect and Plex Media Server. Only external SRT subtitle files will increase but then transcoding is putting the CPU on Synology to 97%
Anyone knows how to fix this or has an other method to get the subtitles bigger?
With "native" media files, aTV/iOS is doing all the replay stuff. PMS/PlexConnect is no more involved...
If there is no option in aTV, it won't work - I am not sure if there is...
Thanks Baa and f00b4r for your quick replies. If you hold the select button you can choose a subtitle but you can't increase the subtitle. The subtitles are bigger on normal media players and also bigger on Plex Media Server so i thought it had to do something with PlexConnect or Apple :)
Latest firmware for aTV3 is 6.0.2 right? Have to wait a little longer :)
I am not near my aTV now, but I'm sure that there is a parameter with the size for subtitles. You can increase from 100% to higher values. It's in one of these places:

PlexConnect settings
1. Could not find this option
2. Yes, i increased between 75% to 150% but it remains the same size so it could not be done by PlexConnect
Yes i also found this yesterday but i didn't find Closed Captions + SDH under Settings > General > Accessibility. Think i got 6.0.2 software. I will take a look again tonight.
*edit* Just heard this option is available on someone's apple tv i was helping with this. So this is good news, going to try this a.s.a.p. Still strange this option was not available on my apple tv
*edit 2*
My own Apple tv had 5.x software. Updated to 6.0.2 and now i have the closed caption option :-) i really thought i had the latest software. Didn't test the subtitle size yet but i really think this is the answer so i marked this thread solved :-)
