Cannot install media server on Windows 10 home

Server Version#: 1.41.2.9200 -the latest
Player Version#: N?A
Windows 10 home, version 22H2 OS build 19045.3693
CPU: AMD FX™-6300 Six-Core Processor 3.50 GHz
Memory: 16GB

I only want to use the Media Server to access my own collection of movies and TV.

I have downloaded and installed the latest version of Media Server. Then I run the server and go to a browser to obtain the web interface (Opera) using my own local IP address as per the standard instructions. I successfully obtain the web interface.

When I try the Add My Media it comes back and tells me I need to get Plex Media Server, which I already have installed and is the only Plex product running on my PC.

I have been going round in this circle for some time. I finally uninstalled all Plex software, cleaned my registry of all Plex errors (as per CCleaner), and then rebooted my PC and installed only the Media Server software.

What am I doing wrong?
