Cannot open playback options during movie playing

Hi,
not having a bad experience with the Android app, just one thing bothers me: I cannot open the playback options. The menu looks to appear for a very short time, but then it desappears in the bottom of the display and it goes off screen.

If you look carefully, you’ll see the inductor that there is a closed window at the very bottom center of your screen. You can slide up on this indicator to bring up the menu.

I have this problem, too, and I can see the menu at the bottom, but I use gestures so I can’t pull it up from the bottom without going to the app switching screen. This is so frustrating.

Bump cause this is still an issue for gesture users.
