Server Version#: 1.99.0.210-2d92b948
Player Version#: 10.19.4.1255
I have approximately 80 GB of music (and video) downloaded to my Pixel 8 Pro. But when I open the player and select Downloads and then either Library or Playlists, I sometimes see the attached screen. Sometimes clearing the cache works (see attachment 2 – the cache is about the size of the downloads). This particular image is after opening the app immediately after doing that.
[Editing to add:] Attachement 3 shows that, despite choosing the “Downloaded Music” option, Z Plex tries to communicate with the server, and considers it an error if it fails. The entire point of choosing the downloads was so that the connection to the server wouldn’t matter (why the app can’t connect to the server is apparently a mystery, because it’s on the same LAN).
Playing the files I have downloaded sometimes works for a while, but will eventually fail, often after less than an hour.
The entire reason I purchased Plex was to listen to my music, whether offline or not. And while downloading from the server is buggy, it can at least be coaxed into completion most of the time. But if Plex continues to fail to work so egregiously, it may be time to demand a refund.
Please fix this. It’s unusable in its current state.
