Cannot queue music from more than one server

I have a Plex Media Server on my local network. Two remote music libraries are shared with me. Using the Plex Web player, I am not able to queue music from more than one server.

Server version: 1.25.4.5487 (my server)
App version: Plex Web App 4.74.1
Device: Firefox on Windows 10

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Launch Plex web player on Firefox.
  2. Begin with an empty queue.
  3. Navigate to music library of any of the three servers.
  4. From album view, use context menu of any album to Add to Queue.
  5. Navigate to music library on one of the other two servers.
  6. From album view, use context menu of any album to Add to Queue.

Expected:
Tracks from the album on the first server should continue to play while tracks from albums on other servers are explicitly queued to follow.

Actual:
Tracks from the first server are removed from the queue when tracks from a different server are explicitly added to the queue.

I have only been a Plex user for a few years, and in that time, have had to fiddle with things remarkably little. I hope that I have not missed a setting or improperly configured something.

Many thanks for your time!

I cannot reproduce this. Playback is not interrupted when I add albums from another shared server into the play queue.

(though I seem to have found another issue, where “Add to Queue” acts like “Play Next”, instead of adding the new content to the end of the queue. But that is just an aside obervation.)

Please check your web browser for add-ins which interfere with app execution. Like all types of “privacy”-related stuff and “filters”.

Thank you very much for your reply, and for trying to reproduce the issue. That playback is not interrupted for you does suggest that something is wrong on my end.

Could this be related to a cookie that is being blocked? Is that what you were getting at when you referred to browser privacy features?

I tried the Web Player on a different computer today, using the Safari browser on a MacBook Pro. (There are no plug-ins or browser extension installed.) For me, there was no change: adding an album from server 2 overwrote the queue when it contained an album from server 1. Should I ask the owners of the two remote libraries to check that their severs are up-to-date?

Not only cookies, but all sorts of “scripting” and app-related functions.

As far as I can see they are both up-to-date.

After updating my server to the latest version ( 1.25.5.5492), the behavior of the queue has changed. It works as expected for playing music from my server, and for one of the two servers shared with me.

For the music library on the second of two servers shared with me, however, I am not able to add music to the queue—at all—when music from another is playing.

Is it possible that this unexpected behavior is related to the updating of my server? Or is this more likely a coincidence?

Server: 1.25.5.5492
Web: Version 4.75.0
Firefox on Windows 10

Playing shared server music, add to queue from my server: music stops.
Playing shared server music, add from another shared server: music stops.
Playing music from my server, add from my server: music continues.
Playing music from my server, add from another shared server: music continues.
