Cannot see libraries from webui but can see them inside the container

Server Version#: plexinc/pms-docker ver: 1.30.0.6486-629d58034
Player Version#: 4.87.2

I’m running the media server on a docker container on Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS. My media files are hosted on an external synology NAS that is mounted onto the Ubuntu host. The issue I have is when I add a library from the webui it can’t see the media inside of the folder. However, if connect to the container via shell, I can see all of the media files.

Here’s the log from the media server when I added the folder and did a scan:

And here’s the section from the docker compose that builds the container:

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Gonna bet its a permissions issue with docker, and the user that plex is running under.

I thought so to, and checked the permissions for the folder and have this:

human@htpc:~/docker/plexms$ ls -lah
total 36K
drwxrwxr-x+ 5 human human 4.0K Dec 22 22:11 .
drwxrwxr-x+ 15 human human 4.0K Dec 22 22:25 …
drwxrwxr-x+ 3 human human 4.0K Dec 22 11:24 config
drwxrwxrwx 271 human docker 20K Dec 12 21:11 media
drwxrwxr-x+ 3 human docker 4.0K Dec 22 22:27 transcodes

I’ve seen a few threads that synology does some things to connections if they are shared folders, but I’m connecting to a mounted drive, so I’m not sure if that’s an issue.
