Having issues signing onto my plex account on my smart TV. I click on the “already have an account” I enter the code on the plex.tv/link says successful and then goes back to the same screen saying “already have an account”.
I am using my phone as well as my laptop to enter the code which shows on my TV and keeps reverting back to same page. I have always been able to sign in without issues. Really frustrating. I have tried to log in under my sons name and does the same thing. Deleted the app on TV reinstalled and still the same thing.
When I click that link it asks for the code which I enter…then says account linked with a tick but on my TV shows thanks, plex logo appears but then it goes back to the “already have an account”
I wish I can help but I’m out of options. I’ve never had much luck with TV app(especially plex app). My replies were in hopes you may be having the same issue as the OP I linked to.
Turn off TV. Disconnect from AC power for ~30 seconds, reconnect, but leave TV powered off. This makes sure the app is not running in the background (I’m not aware of a way to “force quit” the app like on Android & other platforms).
Power on TV, launch app, and go through authentication process (plex.tv/link).
Several months ago an app update did not go correctly on my LG and left things in a weird state (login was OK, but app crashed when trying to play movies). The power disconnect, etc above cleared things up for me.
