I have Plex setup on a dedicated computer that accesses everything from my NAS. I was having trouble with Plex on my Smart TV. I usually just delete the app and reinstall the app and use https://plex.tv/link, enter the code and everything is fine. This last time that I tried the same procedure, Plex is logging on to a different account? I check on my phone and it have the right account. I have tried to see if I can log on to Plex app but my only choices are to use the link or use Amazon to log into Plex. I tried Amazon method and it did the same thing.
What exactly did you check?
The deciding factor is which plex user account was used to login to https://plex.tv before typing in the code. i.e. you have to verify in the web browser which plex account is logged in. open this link on the device and web browser which was used to perform the link operation: https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/account
Then compare the email address shown.
I am not sure what you mean with “Amazon method”. This has nothing to do with Plex.
