Hisense Smart TV Won't Connect / Sign in to Plex

About 5 days ago plex was acting up on my Hisense smart tv, it kept buffering every few seconds and I couldn’t watch anything so I restarted my laptop thinking it was an issue there and restarted my tv - something I always do with no issues and usually fixes things up.

When my laptop had restarted and I clicked on the plex app on my tv, to my surprise it was asking me to sign in again via web browser and code… I did that, I opened the browser to plex.tv/link and entered the code, but when I enter the code in the browser, the browser says “account linked” and the tv says “oops that didn’t work. Press “refresh code” to try again” and I’ve been trying and refreshing for days and nothing is happening. I even removed the app from my tv and added it back again and nothing. Same issue.

I know there’s nothing wrong with my account because I also use plex on a 3 year old LG smart tv which is older than my Hisense one (which I bought several months ago) and everything is fine there .

How do I solve this issue and what could be wrong?

UPDATE: in order to help anyone with the same problem I had and Since no one at plex was helpful and there was no response from anyone to my post either i solved the problem my self. I reset the tv back to factory settings and was finally able to sign in to plex again.

I am also having issues with Plex and my Hisense Smart TV. Up until a few months ago, Plex was working fine on the TV, but the next time I tried booting it up, it just said “Not Available”. Since then, I have tried all I can think of to try and fix it. I have uninstalled Plex on the TV and reinstalled it. Nope. I’ve had the web Plex updated to the most recent version. Nope. I’ve tried resetting Plex on the TV and re-linking with the plex.tv/link code. Nope. I know that Plex is working on my gf’s TV, so I’m questioning now whether it’s something to do with mine?

Try re-setting your tv to factory settings. After weeks of my plex not working and no help from plex and no replies to my post I gave up and went with the last resort. Reset my tv and plex started working.

Tried it yesterday and, sadly, still no change. The only difference between pre reset and post reset is now the plex icon shows up, where before it was a blank space.
