Cannot update over samba from 28 to 30

Hi Guys.

 

This is a great app, thanks for the efforts!

 

I am running 0.1.28 and am trying to update to 0.1.30 manually.

 

I tried SSH but cannot connect.  Putty gives me a "No Supported Authentication methods available" error.  Not sure what that means (a little green with linux).

 

So I noticed the wiki said I could use samba.  I dropped the 4 files in the target folder to the Update share drive via my WIn7 PC over the network.  I reboot the pi box and I get a bunch of errors starting with "No such file or directory/.update/KERNAL".  Then I get a bunch of checksum errors say they do not match.

 

Any insight?

Nevermind.  It appears to be problem with using WinZip vs WinRAR to extract.  Guess WinZIp couldnt extract it properly.  Weird.
