Cannot use Plex Media Server after update

Good evening.

I’ve just updated my Plex Media Server, as I was experiencing an issue where I could not view my server settings, with the message, “Server settings Unavailable.” It was not fixed with the update. I attempted to revert to the old installation, to which also did not work. I decided to attempt to delete all plex data on my drive, for a clean installation, and now when trying to re set-up my server, I’m getting an error stating “A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server.” My logs are attached below.

Thanks for any help you can provide. This is not the first time this has happened, either. In the past, I left it be, as I didn’t need to get in to the settings critically, however, as I need to add new items to my library it required me to enter the “Manage Libraries” section. It seems as if it cannot recognize that PMS is installed on my computer, however I could be mistaken. I think this because before I uninstalled everything, when trying to “Scan Libraries” it would not scan anything when referring to the “Alerts” section.

Did you use a third party app or cleaner? If so that maybe your issue.

Follow these instructions

I followed the exact instructions stated on the site linked above. I manually went through & deleted the registry keys for PMS as well as all files related to PMS in ProgramFiles and AppData.

I’ve also cleared the Cookies & Cache of my Internet Browser used when accessing the PMS web-server. Also tried using Microsoft Edge adverse to Chrome, to no avail.

Are you using any AV or Browser extensions. Try turning one off at a time.
