I updated to newest version and now I the “Server Unavailable” is on all libraries and I am on the server computer! I unistalled and installed last version that did work which was 1.23.0.4459-20536d6fc and same result now.
I thought maybe the DNS Rebind turned back on with the router as that causes this but it is still disabled so must be something when updating to new version.
I am a long time user, and I am about to have no other choice except to stop using plex. This is officially my last option before I give up. Lets start with when I noticed that my Plex media server’s libraries stopped updating. Until now I have never had an issue, and that is going back at least 5 years. When I try to open the media server through the app it will not load. When I run the diagnostic tool in my browser it says the server address is not responding after multiple attempts. If I just navigate to plex by searching in chrome it actually does let me open my server after logging in. When viewing the server in this way, the libraries are not completely updated here either. Lastly when I go to settings and servers it just says “Server settings are unavailable”. After doing some research it seems “server settings are unavailable” is an issue many people are having after Plex updated to it’s newest version (1.23.1.4602-280ab6053). Many said they could get it working temporarily by uninstalling and re-installing the older version (1.22). Unfortunately I do not know how to do this. I have tried everything from uninstalling plex media server and all apps, and reinstalling plex media server multiple times. I even created a new account. Most recently I just deleted my media server in the hopes I could recreate a new one. Of course the only way to do that is to open the media server after reinstalling it, but as previously mentioned it will not open in this way. When navigating to plex by searching, and then logging in, there is no option to create a new media server. This is getting ridiculous! Its just a shame because I have really enjoyed using Plex all these years, and now its going to end in a horrible way. I am utterly shocked that Plex does not have some kind of technical support team. Even a limited one for rare situations like this would be better then nothing. I will greatly appreciate any help anyone could provide.
I had to do the same thing but instead I just searched for my server and found (The New one But Same Name) it but it wasn’t the current one, because it seemed Plex as always, changes things that don’t need to be changed, fix things that aren’t broken, So I just added that server and deleted the old server and kept the current one, nothing changed but I did have to re-enable all my users Libraries that was the only thing that was drastically changed they had no access to the server and just a few tweaks to my libraries like change the Home Page Garbage they put up as Default, Other than that everything else is fine But it’s not like it was before, Sluggish and Much slower and it lags a lot more, much more than usual. This is in my Option the Worse Update to Date. It also helps that I keep my Plex data in a completely separate Drive all to itself, My server is to massive to have in C:
