Cant access any content after local IP change

Server Version now on latest plex pass version:

I have changed my server’s IP address ubuntu 16.04 from a DHCP with a reservation to a static address. The internal address is different but same subnet.

restarted service and server with no luck.

I am accessing it from the servers IP address using the web interface, i have also tried the mobile app and the theatre client.

Just to be clear I can access the server and get to the web interface it just cannot find any content. same if I login to plex.tv, before upgrading to the latest version I had a useful message saying cant connect to media server now I get nothing (we are going backwards interface wise)

plex seems to be getting worse with every release is it time to move to jellyfin and save my plex pass sub?

If you moved the server’s IP,

  1. Was the server restarted after the IP address change?
  2. Did you also “Remove” the server from the “Authorized Devices” list & restart it ? (this just causes it to re-register when it restarts)
  3. After doing the above, was the plex/web page Ctrl-F5 (Reloaded) ?
