Why did my server change?

I had everything working last weekend and yesterday my wife told me nothing was loading on the ATV3 (trailers, Hulu Plus, netflix).

So when I got home i looked at python, and somehow the server has changed for plex.  Right now I am unable to get anything to work.

Two questions:

1. Why/howdid my ip address change for my Plex server?

2. Do I need to install new certs if the server has changed?

I went back into the ATV to and pointed to the new server address, but I was still stuck in the accessing trailers loop .

Sounds Like you have a dynamic IP address on the server.

The certificate is not bound to anything so even if you replaced the same certificate can still be used.

But without all the trouble shooting information from pinned read before posting thread it’s very difficult to help

Just always make sure of the following:

1) your server is setup with a manual IP

2) your ATV is using that IP # under DNS / Manual / IP#

Don't worry about certs once installed correctly.

Thank You for the replies.  I just reset all parts, and I was able to get it working again.  I will monitor and see if my server settings are correct.

You should set a DHCP reservation on your router for your PMS, see the wiki install guide for a good link on how to do this; it is better than a static IP as it means you will get no issues if you take that machine to somewhere else.
