Server Version#: 1.19.1.2645
Player Version#: Apple TV App V2.16
Tuner Make/Model: Hauppauge WinTV-QuadHD
Guide/Lineup name: How do I find out?
Using XMLTV?: No clue?
Channel number/Name: All
Since the last update, with the PIP channel showing in the EPG, on the first channel tune, I can access the channel top menu options, from the remote swipe down on the Apple TV remote, and swipe through top options such as (Info, Also Airing, Playback Settings, Technical Details), as well as the bottom two buttons, Record and the new Guide one.
However, if I change a channel and go back to that option menu, all I can access are the two bottom buttons (Record and Guide) and the top four options are grayed out and inaccessible, no matter what I do, no matter how many time I change channels, until I kill the app and reopen it, which only allow me to access this option menu once, until the next channel change.
This is annoying on channels where the incorrect default Audio Stream is selected where more than one English audio stream is available and one has the annoying descriptive audio and it’s the one Plex has decided to select…
Another thing I’ve noticed since this last update, is using my Android tablet, it now keeps defaulting to the original video quality and I get a black screen on some channels. I have to change it to automatic and it works, but once I change the channel, it defaults back to original and I have to change it again to automatic to get the picture back. Another annoyance, but luckily I don’t use it often enough to care about it too much.
Lastly, some channels running on my HDHomeRun Connect Duo, won’t display signal strength at time in the option menu of the Apple TV App, again since this last update. But this seems to fix by itself as I change channels and leave it time to update, but that’s really minor as I can access this info from another app… But in case it’s all related…
But the Apple TV app channel option menu issue is a real annoyance and the wife is about to bite… LOL!
Please help and fix it back!! LOL!
Thanks,
Dave
