Can't access my account. Username has already been taken

There is a problem with signing in with google account. I created plex account yesterday using gmail account and it worked fine. But today I can’t log in. It shows only vague message:
Username has already been taken
Well, I didn’t set any username.

I can’t even log in to forum. This is new account created for single task: write this message.

Are you sure you are on the sing-in option and not the create an account option? They are very similar.

when you don’t set one your email and username are the same.

Same problem here ! I’m using the sing-in option and the account i’m using right now is for the single purpose of contacting the support.

Any solution ?

why are you trying to create an account if one with that username or email already exists? pick another one. or use the forgot? link

My account seem to be completely locked. The forgot link doesnt send me email. It’s behaving like my account doesn’t exist and I’m not able to create a new one on this email address.

So how do we fix this issue. It has NOT been addressed. I have the same issue. The password reset link does nothing. No reset eMail. Tried creating an “email” account using the same eMail address and that does not work either. I am posting this request using my personal Plex account.

So i know this thread is already a few months old, but i might have a solution for this issue:

litlle backstory: I signed up with my google account on another machine. Tried on my laptop and logged in with the wrong account. I immeadiatly deleted the newly created account and tried to log in with the right account, which resulted in the before mentioned error.

I tried logging outo of chrome and deleted my browser cache (and cookies) and logged back in. I refreshed the login page and it worked immediately.

TL;DR: Clear Browser cache and cookies.
