About a year ago I installed the Plex server into a jail on my FreeNAS server. No issues, everything worked fine. Keep in mind that I RARELY go into the web interface on the Plex server, because I rarely add a directory. I primarily play videos through a PS3, but occasionally will access it through an iPad just to check that shows have added.
About a month ago I changed the base address on my network from 192.18.1.XXX to 192.168.1XX.XXX. I changed the ip address in the FreeNAS jail, and I am able to watch videos on the PS3 with no problems at all. However, I am not able to access the web interface, and when I check on the iPad it says the server is offline. When I go to the web interface, it allows me to log in, but says in the top left corner “Looking for servers” with the spinning circle. It does allow me to go into come limited settings, but it never finds my server. Is there a setting that I am missing that I need to change to update the new IP address of the Plex server so I can access the server through the web interface?

I am using ver 11.1-U7 of Freenas, and using the plugin. And yes the IP was the only change that I made, although I’m not sure if that is what prompted the issue, as I don’t get into the Plex interface very much at all. But when I changed the IP on the router I also changed it for the FreeNAS Jail, for what that’s worth. Please let me know if there is any other information you need.
You asked about the version of PMS, I think it’s 1.12.2.4929-29f6d1796. I may have updated my FreeNAS software since I installed PMS, but I wouldn’t swear to that. Would it be better to delete the jail in FreeNAS and re-install PMS? Or is there a setting that I can find to let it find the server? It’s just kind of strange that I can still see and stream off the server on my PS3s but can’t find the server via it’s web based interface.
