I’ve problems adding local media to my library. When I choose “add library” from the menu I’m prompted to download the Plex media server. I’m not able to select folders I want to add. I’m running the server on a Mac mini and have opened the web GUI under http://127.0.0.1:32400/.

I can remember that I run into this problem already in the past. But I can’t found the solution that fixes this problem. I think deleting some temporary files / folders make it. Do you have a clue how to solve this issue?
Given you’re already accessing the server through the bundled version of Plex Web (=using 127.0.0.1 / localhost), that implies you’re signed in with a different Plex account than the one that’s linked to your Plex Media Server.
Option 1: if you remember the credentials/details of that account… sign in as that user to access your libraries and add new folders.
Option 2: if you don’t remember the credentials/details of that account…
thank you for that hint. I just reinstalled Plex to get access with my preferred account. Now everything is working as expected.
