Hello,
I have installed Plex Media Server on Linux, Zorin distro, and I can’t add libraries. From the HOME menu, I select “Your media” and a window appears where I have only one option: “Get Plex Media Server”. But if I didn’t get it, it wouldn’t be there? I don’t understand. I can’t add my libraries.
Make sure to access the newly installed Plex Media Server through its local IP address in order to complete the setup (e.g. http://127.0.0.1:32400/web if you’re accessing it from the same machine or http://[PMS IP address]:32400/web if you’re accessing it from a different machine inside your home network).
During the finalization of your setup you can name your server and claim it / link it to your Plex account. Once this is done you can also access it from other Plex client (including the hosted version of Plex Web → http://app.plex.tv/desktop).
Thank you for your help. I have already read the document you recommend, but it did not help me.
In trying to enter to Plex Media Server on web when I select “Login”, I always get an error (this bug has been the subject of much discussion in the forums). But if I go to https://app.plex.tv I manage to log in.
But in http://app.plex.tv/desktop, when I select “Your media” to add my libraries, a window appears “Add your media to Plex” (I’m translating to English, because the interface I use is in Spanish) in which the only option I have is “Get Plex Media Server”, something absurd since I already have it installed. And I can’t add my libraries.
What error do you get when you try accessing the Plex Media Server locally.
Until your server is linked with your account it will not show up on https://app.plex.tv/desktop.
Plex Web
want to log in to your Plex account
There was an error logging in
If at that point, I go to https://app.plex.tv, I can log in.
