Can't add Synology server to my Plex account

Set up a new Synology 1821+. My first attempt to install plex was to use the instructions on moving from an old server to a new one. That method did not work well. None of my watched info transferred over and every night, Plex crashed.

So, since what I wanted didn’t work, I decided to start from scratch. Stopped Plex, Uninstalled. Removed Plex share and Plex user. Reinstalled.

Now I cannot get that server back up an running. I either get " Not Authorized" or, it will just skip into my Plex account showing me my other servers and ignoring the new one I’m trying to get up and running.

What is the next step?

Figured it out. I was trying to add it from a different subnet.

Anyone trying to do the same needs to stop Plex and add

allowedNetworks="{your network}/{subnet mask}"
example: allowedNetworks=“192.168.0.0/255.255.0.0”

At the end of the preferences.xml file right before the /.
