Is the server running (Package Center) ?
If it is, Stop it.
Using FileStation, navigate to PlexMediaServer/AppData/Plex Media Server
Right-click Logs → Compress to Logs.zip
Download the ZIP file and attach here.
We’ll see what’s going on.
Thank you kindly. It’s too big to attach here. Logs.
We can manually remove the manual port setting
- Stop PMS
- Ensure you have the Synology Text Editor installed on the NAS
- Using FileStation, Navigate to PlexMediaServer/AppData/Plex Media Server
- Right-click Preferences.xml → Open with Text Editor
- On the 2nd line, scroll right.
Look for the server setting “ManualPortMappingMode”
LastAutomaticMappedPort=“0” ManualPortMappingMode=“1” ManualPortMappingPort=“31416”
-
Change it from “1” (one) to “0” (zero)
-
Save the file and exit the text editor
-
Start PMS
Now open Remote Access.
- Remote Access will not be enabled.
- Manual port mapping is disabled.
- You now have control again.
I completed those steps up until Remote Access. I get this message: “app.plex.tv is unable to connect to “Server” securely”
Both problems have been taken care of. Thank you for the help.
