Hoping someone with far more knowledge can help. I’ve run plex headless on a RPi2 since 2014, never had any major issues. I noticed in early 2020 I could no longer access 192.168.x.x:32400 interface via windows 10, yet could still access hdd’s attached to the RPi via samba and plex apps on tv, phone etc still worked and could use the server so no big deal. I soon noticed the official release and figured, “Hey, I’ll fresh install and have everything working again with the official release - deb buster.” Mistake.
For months, I couldn’t access the setup page via 192.168.x.x:32400/web/, tried everything I could find on forums, no luck. Same results from fresh installs. Again, I could access the drives on the network and I could see plexmediaserver service was listening on all ports when I checked in terminal.
An update a few weeks ago mysteriously allowed me to access the server setup page, I hadn’t done anything with it for awhile, so it was nothing I had done.
Admittedly, the setup is probably a bit of a mess as it’s been tampered with multiple times over months by me but fresh installs haven’t worked so I haven’t bothered this time.
My issue now is that I can see the server in the plex web browser 192.168.x.x:32400/web, however when I attempt to claim it, it fails as per logs attached. I can ping google.com or www.plex.tv from terminal, yet their seems to be several curl errors. Tried messing with dns as advised on one forum post through terminal (didn’t really get what I was doing, just followed instructions) but no change so I reverted those changes.
Anyone any suggestions from the logs?
claim server worked immediately.
