I can’t connect to my plex server through wifi, only the ethernet connections are currently working. I am hosting plex through truenas community edition and the server is set to a static ip. The apps i try to access it through are an amazon fire stick and the iOS app. Neither are working, they just try to use the relay connection. I turned relay off and it just says the server is offline.
I went through the trouble shooting steps of signing out and back into the server and apps and that didn’t work either. Not sure where to go from here and I am new to all this IT stuff, networking is a struggle for me. Currently have eero routers and they are very strict on what you can and can’t control also.
Edit: figured it out after a few hours of research, turns out i had an IP address from my ISP that was a CGNAT address. Called them at 9:30pm on a friday and he updated it to public. Changes took effect immediately and server appeared on Plex. What a doozie… finally get to use my $1,200 investment in my server hardware, thank goodness.
