Can't create Collections from multiple items selected

When selecting multiple items and then selecting a Collection from the ‘Add to…’ menu that appears at the top of the library, the tag doesn’t get applied correctly.
It’s very buggy and it tags haphazardly one or the other item or none!? Also, I’ve noticed that when tagging a single item through the Edit menu of the item, it will always add the lock when applying a tag while when it’s done with multiple items, it doesn’t.
Don’t know if that’s by design or again a bug.

Can you expand on what is incorrect? Seems to be working fine for me.

I believe that is intentional. When manually adding a collection (or any field) it sets the lock. However, editing the data through an API (add to, smart collections, automatic collections) does not so that these can be undone.

I can see where having the field lock using “Add to” might be useful. I will ask about this.

Are you sure you’re doing EXACTLY what I described? Creating a new collection works fine for me as well, it’s adding to an existing collection that seems to be the problem.
Here’s a screen capture of it happening. In it I try with 3 films and one doesn’t get tagged. I’ve had other experiences where none or only one gets tagged.

I did exactly as you did. I selected 3 random movies and added the to an existing collection. They all got tagged properly.

Did you try refreshing your page incase it’s a caching issue?

I have my library set to hide content in collections so as soon as I add the items to the collection, they were removed from the screen so I knew it worked.
