Can't delete files Nvidia Shield

I’m running the Plex app on my Nvidia Shield TV 2019. I have the delete files option enabled on my Windows Plex server. On my Roku Ultra I could delete shows after watching no problem. With the Shield when I try to delete media I get the following message…

Media Unavailable
The file associated with this item is not accessible by the server. Please verify that the file exists and the necessary drive is accessible.

Also my Plex app on the Roku Ultra had an option in settings to enable deletion of files whereas there is no such setting in the Shield version.

Any input would be really appreciated…thanks !

The option to allow media deletion is on your server not client apps.

so the file still plays fine on android if you try it after that?

I have the same issue, however the file is actually deleted but the UI is not updated so I suspect this is a bug. If you back out of the tv/movie list you deleted and then go back you will see that it was deleted.

yeah I believe they have been working on some page refresh issues like when things are marked as watched but then don’t reflect that.

Yes I have file deletion enabled on my server. Just an observation of my previous experience with Plex on my Roku. No the file can’t be played after message…When I leave the app and come back file is still there and can be played.

the Roku app has never had the function to turn on/off the ability to delete. only the server has ever had it.

what version number of app and server are you running exactly

Server Version 1.21.1.3876

App Version 8.11.022186

In PMP windows version when you choose delete and there is more than one version of the file you get a choice but since switching to a new shield pro I dont get the option to choose which version to delete. Ii found this feature really useful when checking out which version of a rip was best visual quality and deleting the others. Is it possible to get this on the shield version please?
