Deleted media keeps metadata on Android-TV

I’ve had Plex running really well for over a year (Roku and Windows clients, Windows server), but earlier this year I added an Nvidia Shield Pro, to be able to playback 4K/HDR with TrueHD(et al) audio. The interface feels old, but the actual issue is that when I delete an episode of something from the interface, it seems that the item sticks around in the Plex library until I restart the app. It disappears for a split second then comes back, and naturally attempting to play it back fails (as the file is no longer present). This behavior is not seen on the Roku or Windows clients, both of which update immediately, so I don’t believe that it’s a server problem.

So the normal flow is…
Play media->delete media->media immediately removed from file store & Plex library

But what I’m seeing on the Shield.
Play media->delete media->media immediately removed from file store, Plex library item remains

Not sure what (if anything) I’m doing wrong, I don’t believe I have anything set on any clients that would affect it, and installs of everything should be up to date. The behavior appears to be consistent for video files (TV or movies), though I haven’t tried it for other media types as they’re fairly static.

Server Version#:1.22.2.4282

Ended up getting a second Shield because it was so snazzy, but the problem remains. Here are a couple screenshots of what I’m talking about; first photo shows the media, then after deleting it I get the ‘Media unavailable’ but the title is still in my library. The same behavior exists if I try to delete an entire title from my library (ie all episodes of Rick and Morty),

Post-Delete:

This behavior ONLY exists on the Shield device; other devices (like PCs running the Plex app, the old Roku clients or iOS clients) all delete the media immediately and there’s no remaining metadata.
