Ever since updating to the latest version of the Plex iOS app, I’m now unable to download/sync any podcasts, if you press the button at show level nothing happens, i.e. if you want to set it to download the latest episodes of a show, the button just does nothing. This occurs on 3 different iOS devices I’ve tried here, all on the latest version of the app from the AppStore.
One device was still on v6, which worked just fine, when I updated it to v7 it then stopped working.
Same issue here. Sometimes I think I’m the only guy using podcasts on Plex which is why it’s functionality is so substandard. Thanks for starting this thread and proving I’m not.
I actually quite like Plex for podcasts overall, particularly as a Windows and Linux user, it’s probably the only thing I’ve come across that works on kinda everything. The voice boost stuff has also been super nice too. Sure things like Overcast are better, but overall it’s not too bad!
I’ve heard that this is something they’re looking into, hopefully we’ll have a solution soon.
I SO want to be all in on Plex. The new PlexAmp music player is hands down my favorite music app. I want to see more of this kind of development.
Apps like PlexAmp seems to point to the Plex team perhaps separating the individual media functions into their own apps that do that one thing well…like playing music and potentially music, video, and the like.
Right now, I just want podcasts to work. I can easily switch back to Pocketcasts but want to use the Plex platform if possible. It’s annoying when something that worked last month doesn’t work today…
