hello,
i am new to pc world and plex media server tried to read some post. my plex media server.exe wont open at all and couldn’t find LocalAppDataPath in registry editor
i followed KEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Plex, Inc.\Plex Media Server\
please if you need logs tell me how or where to find it so i can upload it
i am using windows 10 pro.
sorry for my bad english
I assume the path is pointing to a location which is (no longer) accessible, right?
To set it back to the default location, simply remove the registry key LocalAppDataPath
Shut down Plex server using its task tray icon
open regedit.exe
delete the key LocalAppDataPath from inside
KEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Plex, Inc.\Plex Media Server\
start Plex server
thanks for your time. am really sorry i didn’t understand any thing.
simply moving LocalAppDataPath on default location and replacing it on KEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Plex, Inc.\Plex Media Server\ ?
i cloudnt find LocalAppDataPath nither on the defalut location or in the regedit.exe
please correct me if i didnt understand
thanks alot
What gave you the idea to look into the registry at all?
Was there an error message or a log file entry?
Please send me the Plex Media Server.log if you can find a current one. %LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex Media Server\Logs
Plex Media Server.log (1.5 MB)
i changed the default browser and now i can upload my LIBRARIES
any way i tried my best to upload the logs, i hope this is what you asked me for
What was the actual issue?
i told you i am new on pc and plex.
thanks a lot. you can delete this pointless discussion
