I have a plex server running on an Intel QNAP NAS. The server is up to date (currently 1.3.3.3148). Client is Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick; both apps are also up to date. I frequently find that when we go to the app it will report “Can’t Find Media Server” (or something similar). When this happens the server is always running OK (I can connect to it in a browser) and everything is on the same LAN. The only solution I have found is to log the client app out, then log in again, requiring me to go to a different system, use a browser and enter the activation code; then it works fine - for a while - until it happens again. For me this is a real pain, because we use PLEX so infrequently, that I seem to have to go through this process pretty much every time I want to use it. Anyone suggest why this happens, and a solution? If not I think I’m going to discontinue the use of PLEX and try something else.
