By default search only looks at pinned sources. There is an icon of a pin to the right after you hit the search icon. Change that to “All Media” and you should see the result you are looking for.
The TV shows are pinned but here’s what I get when I switch to All Sources. No, it’s not further down it’s all just web shows and podcast episodes
It’s working for me. I wonder if the friend sharing with you has specifically turned off the option to show in search results.
