HI. I’ve had to reinstall Windows on my main PC a couple of times to try and get rid of a crashing issue. I’m back up and running and my Media Server is too. I have connected back on my devices (iPHone, iPad, nVidia Shield boxes) but I am having trouble connecting my brother back up on his Apple TV.
I have managed to log him back in on his iPad. So that works correctly again. But his Apple TV box is being silly. It insists on offering me the “http://plex.tv//Link option” or using Google or iCloud. But my brothers login email is @sky.com not Gmail.
If I use any device to use the plex.tv/link option I do not get the box to enter the 4 character code. I just get the same options over and over.
What’s really frustrating is that we know his email login ID and his password. But there is no where to enter them. Sign In just offers the plex.tv/link option,
Honestly its so frustrating. Plus there is no direct support from PLEX. Articles to Read or Community Forums. Very poor.

Hi, when you go to https://www.plex.tv/link/, what do you mean by saying that you get the same options over and over again?
When your brother goes to https://www.plex.tv/link/, he can sign in using his credentials, and he will be presented with the input field to enter the 4 character code displayed on the TV.

There is nowhere to enter the 4 character code. When opening a browser the only options are to sign in using Apple or Google. So Gmail or iCloud based email addresses.
His email is @sky.com and this was used to create his account.
I have got his account running again on his iPad. So I know it works.
But trying to get PLEX App on his Apple TV box to login using his email address just isnt being offered as an option.
Tried 4 times using 3 different devices to open a browser and enter the 4 character code. But wouldnt give me that option, or sign in with his email account. Just iCloud or Gmail via Apple or Google.

The 3 different devices you tried, what are those? And which browser? Can you also take some screenshots of what you’re seeing?

I have managed to link the device now. I miss read the tiny writing on the landing page on the browser. I didnt see “or”, I thought it wanted me to create an account again. So tapping this link then took me to a page where I could login using his email address and the browser then showed me the link box to type the 4 letters in.
So device connected back up and working as it should do. My apologies. Once upon a time I wouldnt make mistakes like that, but my head gets mashed easily these days
