Can't match a show

Hi!
I am having trouble matching a show. I already did the Plex dance.

The autoscraper isn’t working, when I try to use the ‘match…’ function I can’t get results. The spinning wheel just doesn’t end. It is spinning for minutes. Even when using manual match and using the TVDB ID for the show.

Is there something I could try?

What is the show and how do you have the files named & organized?

Make sure you have it in a TV Show library, not a Movie or Other Video library.

Plex is very picky when it comes to names & organization of TV shows. Make sure you are following the recommended structure. See Media Preparation guidelines. There are several documents for TV shows. Follow guidelines based on the type of show - series, specials, etc.

Thanks for the answer. It’s this (tvdb) show. Files are located in
/tv/Civilisations (2018)/Civilisations.2018.S01E01.mkv etc.
I think the problem lies in the TVDB scraper because another new series can’t be scraped either.

//edit: Fixed it. Had to change the scraper in the match dialog to movieDB and back to tvdb. Found it instantly.

Glad you have it working. In the future, suggest you follow Plex’s guidelines. You’ll have less matching issues. Might be a bit of work up front, but pays off in the end.

Example:

/TV Shows
   /Civilisations
      /Season 01
         Civilisations - s01e01.mkv
         Civilisations - s01e02 - How Do We Look?.mkv
         Civilisations - s01e03.mkv
