Can't mix xml guide on one tuner and use built in EPG on another tuner

I’m noticing that if I have two, or more, tuner sources whatever epg method I pick for the first tuner is forced on the second, and other subsequent tuners. It doesn’t seem to let the user mix and match. I have a need to have one tuner use a custom EPG via an XMLTV file while the other should use the built in EPG.

For example:

  1. If I add Tuner1 and select the build in EPG method, when I try to add Tuner2 I have no option to pick XMLTV method-- it will only use the built in EPG.

  2. If I add Tuner1 and select the build in XMLTV method, when I try to add Tuner2 I have no option to use the build in EPG method-- it will only allow entry of an XMLTV file/location.

Can only mix Plex provided guides/lineups, meant for folks who live on the border where they get OTA channels from multiple regions. Can’t mix XMLTV and Plex guides

That’s a shame to hear. I really enjoy the Plex experience over channels, but I can’t get by without this. Thank you for the quick response.

If you live in the US, you can use Schedule Direct to get your XMLTV for your channels. I use them and it works great. Then you would be able to use your custom XMLTV file as well.
