Can't play 25fps at 50hz anymore

Suddenly I am no longer able to play my movies running 25fps anymore when they are running at 50hz. I’ve been running them many times before without issues, but now they keep freezing for a couple of seconds every few seconds for no obvious reason. I’m running rasplex interface at 1080p and 60hz with “adjust display refresh rate” enabled. So when I run 25fps files my tv will switch to 50hz instead of 60hz and this will make it freeze and stutter. I can run the files without issues if I disable “adjust display refresh rate” and set the refresh rate to 25hz, but switching it to 50hz wil make it freeze. Also with “adjust display refresh rate” disabled.
When I run 24fps files I have no problems at all with “adjust display refresh rate” enabled and I didn’t use to have it with 25fps either. I’ve tried to restart the tv, the RPi3 and the Nas it’s running from, but to no avail.
I have two samsung tv’s but it’s only happening on the older version.
Does anyone have any idea what’s causing this or even better, how to fix it.

Have you by any chance upgraded your PMS?

That’s very likely. Right now I’m running v. 1.1.4.2757 on a QNAP ts-251+ Nas server. You think this could have any effect on the problem discribed?

Yes, if your clients are forcing the server to transcode, server version upgrades come into play.
Can you force your clients to direct play / original quality?

You need this Settings at your Client:

Adjust display refresh rate: OFF
Sync Playback with Display: ON
Vertical Blank Sync: OFF

The Trick is to switch off the Vertical Blank Sync :)>-

I seem to have solved the problem. It seems to have been related to an insufficient power supply. I sometimes got the little colored box in the top right corner, so I bought a more powerful power supply and now the problem seem to be gone. I had no idea that framerate issues could be related to a power supply, but apparently it can.
Thank you guys for helping out, trying to solve this.

The PowerSupply dosnt relate to “this” problem - it was an “another” problem, but good, that this is solved too.
