Senior non-techie here. I have been playing mp4 files via Window 10 PC, PLEX media player, and Roku on my LAN. Now, for some reason these files freeze and display the error msg above. The problem files will not play on VLC media player either. Can someone lead me to a solution, please?
If they don’t even play with VLC, then you can consider them as “damaged”.
You could try to repair them by throwing them into mkvtoolnix, but the chances of success are slim.
