Can't remove a band from a music collection

I am trying to remove a band from a music collection that I created but it won’t remove it.
I have try to delete the collection from the music band tag page but it wont delete. I try removing from the collection page and select the band and try to remove the band but it didn’t remove the band.

Server Version#: Version 1.41.0.8992 for Windows 11

You cannot remove arbitrary items from a smart collection.
A smart collection is defined by the filter criteria which were used to create it. In order to remove items from a smart collection, you need to edit its filter.

OttoKerner thanks for the help, I think I try that but let me explain how do I did the Smart collection to see if there a solution.
First I select and artist and in the collection tag I add in “Rock Argentina” (in English “Argentinian Rock”) and then I select the other Argentinian rock band and add in the collection tag “Rock Argentina” and then from the music collection I select “Rock Argentina” and create a Smart Playlist.
Today I find out that one band that I thought it was from Argentina is from Mexico so now I want to remove “Rock Argentina” for the band tag but it doesn’t remove it.

Can you verify you’re still seeing this behavior with PMS 1.41.0.8992? There was an issue deleting tags (like a collection) with Unicode characters in a previous server version that appears to have been fixed in the latest PMS release.

Can you take a look at your server logs (Plex Media Server.log) to verify if there’s any SQLITE related error messages. Unrelated to the fixed issue, your server‘s database might have experienced some corruption, preventing changes like removing a collection tag from being applied.

I open the server logs and I did a find for the word “SQLITE” and it didn’t find anything.

I did a test by deleting the Smart collection to see if I can then delete the collection tag I created for the band but no I can’t delete. I also try to delete different tag collection that I have created to other bands and I can’t delete.
Now I am going to try to install a previous version of PMS to see if I can delete the tag.

Thanks for checking… would you mind sharing those logs (with debug mode enabled but verbose mode disabled) after attempting to remove the tag?
Do you have the same issue if you attempt removing a tag without Unicode special characters (e.g. without the :metal: emoticon)?

I install PMS previous version 1.40.5.8921-836b34c27, 1.41.0.8930-056c2ed26 and 1.41.0.8976-8d3b73150 and with them I couldn’t delete the tag.
I try removing the Unicode special characters🤘 from the collection name and now I can delete the collection tag.
So PMS doesn’t like :-1: the Unicode special characters.
