Collection crashes

Hello I’ve just installed the 1.29.0.6244 on an arm V8 raspberry pi4

I tried to create two smart collections from two smartplaylists to make them available for my friends.

one of the new collections is empty (as the playlist contains lots of items). And I’m not able to remove it.

the other works like a charm.

I tried to run Plex SQLite command with the following commands:

PRAGMA integrity_check; → ok
Vaccum;
reindex;

It didn’t solve the problem

Would you mind elaborating what exact steps you took to create those smart collections from your two smart playlists? I’m not sure I understand why it should be empty because the playlist has lots of items).

Also… how exactly aren’t you able to remove it? Do you get some specific error message?
Vacuuming and reindexing won’t change the content of your database and deleting it manually from the database shouldn’t be necessary.

I’ll try to reply my english is not so good sorry

I tried to edit the smart playlist filters and save as a new smart collection.

This create an empty collection (?) while on the other playlist saved as a smart collection it works.

I’m not able to remove the collection because, when I click on the 3 dots on the icon it displays a massage: “An error occured”

Looks like there might be something wrong with your setup.
Did you already have a chance to look at your server logs (or are you willing to share them)?

Plex Media Server Logs_2022-09-24_00-48-59.zip (2.3 MB)

I tried to create the collections between 20h and 22h on september 23th

I tried to delete the collection just nox at 00h48 on september 24th

Hello, did you have a look on the server logs?

As for the posters… does the issue persist after performing Settings > [Server Name] > Manage > Troubleshooting > Clean Bundles?

Your logs show a number of errors and issues but they’re not necessarily specific to the issues at hand.

Hello. It doesn’t correct anything.

The poster is not a problem for me. The problem is that the category is empty and that I cannot neither edit nor delete it.

Any idea?

Is there a way to delete them safely via Plex SQLite?

This is a real trouble for me since I share collections with my friends and that many of them are empty

You also told me that there are many errors in my logs?

My 1st suspicion was that there might be an issue with the database itself. Though your logs didn’t show any immediate signs of database corruption… they also didn’t cover the specific time when you reported the problem occurred. Before manually tinkering with the content of the database I suggest you specifically check the database for corruption and if you find any to attempt repairing it.

The other errors in your logs don’t seem related to this issue.
There’s been some signs of hiccups with regards to remote access and some messed up directories where Plex attempts to clean-up transcoding directories that no longer exist. Aside of that there’s some oddities with the file paths used for your media – but as long as Plex recognized them and you’re ok with that, I won’t argue about it :wink:
