I am a Plex lifetime subscriber. I’m changing computers from an iMac to a Mac mini M4. After installing Plex and configuring my Libraries, I am stuck with a Downloads icon with a yellow exclamation mark. I’ve tried to correct this in Plex Web as well as the Plex desktop client, but I just can’t remove it. I’ve gone through resetting the interface, but when I relaunch Plex, Downloads is still there. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? I’m sure it’s staring me right in the face, but I just don’t see how to get rid of it! For the record, when I click on the Downloads icon, I just get a spinning icon and nothing ever happens.
It didn’t make any difference. Thanks for all of your help, but unfortunately I’m still stuck with the Downloads icon in the sidebar. For the record, there is no ellipsis beside this icon, so clicking on it just creates a window with an endlessly spinning circle.
I tried running Plex from my MacBook Pro, and wouldn’t you know, there is no Downloads folder in the sidebar. Whatever is going on is local to the Mac Mini M4.
From a Tv show POSTER ellipsis, you wil be able to download like illustrated above, download a show on your Mac mini from Plex Desktop app, not Plex Media server.
