Some time ago I made the mistake of creating a guest user. All the advise on this website recommends clicking the X when hovering over the guest account on the users/ settings screen while using the app.plex access. This does not work for me. I have refreshed, and selected auto login. There is also no option to “Disable Guest”
That’s one of the solutions I’ve tried already after reading on these forums. I just tried again and no luck. This is even after creating a whole new server, fresh install of windows, + Plex server.
It says its a managed user, but I cant seem to manage it?
Make sure under “switch user” you are logged into the admin user. I just checked, if logged in as a managed user, the gold crown still shows next to the admin, but the “enable/disable guest” is gone.
Its great news but frustrating that I can pin point what did it. It could help others as I know from my searching there a lot of ppl out there that have this issue.

If other users have similar trouble, please inform me. Maybe the developers can find a reason and fix it at the source next time.
@canterjc you have a Plex Pass so you should have the Enable/Disable Guest button. Can you take a screenshot of what you see.
if the guest was created with the Enable Guest button then it should say Disable Guest and not have any Lock icon there.
if it was just a managed user named Guest then on the row there should be the lock icon and when hovering the ability to set PIN and the X to remove it
Thank you. I can click disable/enable guest. When enabled, there’s a managed user called “Leslie” that I can’t rename or change or delete. I’d like to actually use the guest option if I can rename/update that user.
