I had this problem and got around it by editing the sqllite database like this. Remember to backup your database just in case something goes wrong! Note that I’m using Linux, so your database locations may change
Stop Plex
sudo systemctl stop plexmediaserver.service
Edit database.
sudo sqlite3 /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application\ Support/Plex\ Media\ Server/Plug-in\ Support/Databases/com.plexapp.plugins.library.db
Issue the following sqlite command and exit from sqlite
DELETE FROM media_provider_resources;
ctrl-d
Start Plex
sudo systemctl start plexmediaserver.service
I had a similar issue. Plex has a dislike for some drivers, and it took a full wipe with Hauppauge’s driver cleaner for Plex to properly recognize it again.
Have same issue now since one of the last upgrades from Plex/windows etc, /hcw doesn’t seem to fix.
Solved: ran HCW and replaced the standard global driver with the UK driver v36248. Shows in windows driver as 2018 version. None of the newer versions seem to work, including US, global and SG version.
