How to reset/remove dvr in Live TV & DVR?

After changing some settings in xteve and tvheadend, plex cant load epg and or channellist.
How can i remove the dvr so i can start over?

Before i can get to the dvr settings i get an error page:
An unexpected error has occurred.

I’m having this same issue of the error page that prevents any setting changes! I’m on Version 1.25.2.5319.

I’m getting this generic error page and can’t remove or reset the DVR Live TV page. None of the help at these posts are applicable since they assume you have GUI control of the DVR settings and you don’t have this all-blocking error page described at the end of the post above.

Sooooo, How on earth do I reset and remove the only DVR that I have in the Live TV & DVR settings if I’m getting this error page that blocks me from doing just that? (And says go to this forum for help)

I would stop server from running, move the three tv.plex.providers.epg.cloud... EPG database files someplace else for backup then restart server. and then try to delete DVR like normal if it is still there

they are located in the the Plex Media Server data folder /Plex Media Server/Plug-in Support/Databases/ Where the PMS folder is depends on what you are running on

Thank you for the fast reply! I stopped the plex server, I moved those three EPG databases elsewhere. Started the plex server again, went into the Settings → Live TV & DVR → settings stayed on the screen for a full 5 seconds before getting blocked again by that Error Page.

@BigWheel is there anything else I can do to reset the DVR settings?

Edit: I can get past the error page if I replace those three EPG database files with empty text files with the same name and extension. But then my HDHomeRun tunner is not able to be seen nor is the IP address recognized…so I’m not sure if I have a work-around or if I’ve broken PMS TV DVR by replacing those files. Please advise.

@plexus-Net did you manage to find a solution? I’m facing the same issue. deleting the files or replacing them with 0Byte text files did not help.
Although I got to the point that I see the gui with tuner setup button, but entering the xTeVe’s ip address does nothing and it seems like an endless circling icon.

This problem started when i deleted channels from tvheadend+xteve, while plex is still searching for these channels (it can found some, but not all).
I think i sorted this out by adding these channels again or i stopped xteve service so plex couldnt reach it anymore.
Then delete the dvr in plex, change what you want to change, then add the dvr again in plex

Got the Same Problem. Nur can not recover the lost channels. So how can i remove the Tuner?

For me in Synology DSM6 v1.25.x the channel-scan is broken actually (partly) broken.

In Windows10 PMS channel-scan works fine.
