I have 3 Plex servers all running at the same time but I can only ever access 2 of them at once. I’ve found that rebooting the server that can’t connect seems to allow it to connect again but then one of my other servers gets disconnected and I have to reboot that one and so on. Anyone else have this issue or is it just me?
The machines are all windows, I have a main plex, a 4k plex and then a backup server for my main plex in case my main machine crashes. I’ve updated everything possible for them but still have issues.
It sounds like you created at least one of those servers as a copy/clone of another one, causing them to share the same machine identifier. This happens if you create a new server following the server migration support article… you can do that but should delete the old machine identifier from the new machine. Otherwise Plex will not be able to see them as separate entities.
How would I go about deleting the machine identifier from one of the servers? I did used to use the backup server as the primary server but upgraded to the new one but the old server is no longer in my authorized devices section.
