When I log in with my PS4 I can only see my fiends media that is shared, not my local servers content.
I've only got one user on my account so it really is confusing.
have you made sure its on the right plex server top right right next to where it will say your login name.
My buddies server is the only one that is showing up in the drop down.
on your sever when you go to setting then settings is it showing connected ?

I believe this issue might be due to the POS router that AT&T recently swapped me out for. I have noticed other people complaining about the same type of issues and it being router related.
It does seem a little inefficient that to view something that is on my own network I need internet access.
I believe the plex on ps4/3 has to reach out to the internet to verify your a plex member and to find the server then it plays localy if the server cant reach plex.tv then ps4/3 cant find it seems like. My friends pc i setup for plex had problems till i got his router to map ports correctly for plex then it worked fine.
Yeah a new router and customer rules on the FW did the trick
thats great iv noticed some routers are trash at UPnP even just port fowarding usualy happens with the cheaper routers.
